Shelter Architecture & Urban Design was established in 2003, providing exceptional architectural and consulting services. Our experience includes a wide range of expertise including residential, senior and student housing, commercial and agricultural projects. Our team brings experience, unique skills to the table along with strong connections and community relationships that have grown through our many years of work in the community.

Michelle, the principal architect, was educated at the University of Washington and CU Boulder’s School of Environmental Design. She found her place in Santa Barbara, CA to pursue not only Architecture but recreational ambitions including marathon racing, ultra running, triathlon and cycling. With an emphasis on ecologically sensitive projects and timeless design - we create places and spaces that are in harmony with the end user and the surrounding environment. Over the years, the firm has grown to provide a full spectrum of services and talents to serve the needs of our clientele.
